We've seen tablets focused solely on enterprise Relevant Products/Services users and tablets focused on media-consuming adults. Now, we're seeing the industry's first tablet Relevant Products/Services focused solely on kids.

Toys R Us is following in Amazon Relevant Products/Services.com's footsteps, to a certain extent, by rolling out its own tablet carrying its retail brand name. The toy seller and retail giant has introduced the first Wi-Fi Relevant Products/Services tablet designed by a company that knows what kids want.

Dubbed Tabeo, the device is loaded with content that Toys R Us hopes causes kids to nag mom to buy them one. With child security in mind, the retailer also built Tabeo with safety features to make parents comfortable.

"Over the past year, we've spent considerable time talking to parents and children to determine what features and functions they really want in a kids' tablet, resulting in Tabeo," said Troy Peterson, vice president and divisional merchandise manager for Toys R Us, U.S. operations.

Tabeo will be on Toys R Us store shelves starting Oct. 21 and retail for $149.99.

The pre-loaded apps include nearly 20 included, like Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Cut the Rope, Temple Run, 100 Floors, Collapse!, Tiki Golf, and Tiki Cart 3D. Tabeo also features nearly 10 apps to help kids learn about letters, math, science and other subjects. Software installed on Tabeo includes AlphaTots, Discovery Kids Putterbugs, Operation Math and TechCalc, along with five more learning apps.
